Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise

Lamps for the garden are surely not among the priorities when designing your dream home. Even so, as opposed to indoor lamps, outside ones are very effortless to plan and set up later on. You do not need to demolish any walls or alter any current scheme to add outside lighting to your property. All you require to do is a little study on what types of outside lamps there are. Right here are some lighting suggestions for a beautiful garden.</p><br/><p>The first factor you want is orientation light to guide you from the courtyard entrance to the front door of your house. It is a practical aspect, but you do not have to resort to impersonal, industrial type lighting. There are many lamp models that can attribute your garden just as much character as designer lamps in your living room.</p><br/><img alt="garden lighting by the pool Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="400" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-lighting-by-the-pool.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by James Martin Associates / Photo by Linda Oyama Bryan</em></p><br/><img alt="garden lighting perfection Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="398" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-lighting-perfection.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by Rugo/ Raff Ltd. Architects / Photo by Charlie Mayer.</em></p><br/><p>For the orientation light that accompanies you to the front door, you can choose bollard lamps, which are normally up to 1 meter higher and are constructed on the ground. If you want a unique style, you have to make a bit of specialized study, given that most providers provide normal, type of industrial bollard lamps. But trust me, there are vivid and lovely alternatives to uncover. Or if you prefer vintage, you can also go with torchiere-style lamps from wrought iron.</p><br/><h3>Garden Alley Lighting</h3><br/><p>If your alley through the garden is close to the house, like in most instances, you can accompany the walk with wall appliqués or wall lamps built on the residence wall. There are many possibilities to use here, from more classical lamps with lampshades to extremely minimalistic and modern wall appliqués with easy and attractive geometries.</p><br/><img alt="bollard lamps for the garden Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="391" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/bollard-lamps-for-the-garden.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><img alt="garden lighting bollard lamps Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="600" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-lighting-bollard-lamps.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p>You can also combine a bollard light, serving as actual orientation light with rather decorative wall appliqués with up- and downlight, which only cast their shine effect upon the wall surface.</p><br/><img alt="stylish bollard lamps for the alley Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="524" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/stylish-bollard-lamps-for-the-alley.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><h3>Patio Lighting</h3><br/><p>These wall lamps are also powerful on an outside terrace, for your patio. If you have an ‘outdoor living room’ sort of terrace, you can use a sturdy pendant lamp over the table, which does not require to be waterproof if you have a cover for this region (for instance below a balcony). Standing floor lamps, which have dimmers, are also appropriate in this area meant for conversation and relaxation.</p><br/><img alt="garden patio design with beautiful lighting Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="397" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-patio-design-with-beautiful-lighting.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by John Kraemer & Sons/ Photography: Scott Amundson</em></p><br/><img alt="garden patio lighting design Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="406" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-patio-lighting-design.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by Pedersen Associates / Barbara Ries Photography</em></p><br/><h3>The Glowing Pond / Pool</h3><br/><p>If your garden consists of a little pond, you can install little bollard lamps on the shore, or, even better, ball-or blob shaped lamps that lie directly on the ground, like glowing rocks. All the lamps utilized in this region have to be waterproof. Some companies have also designed floating lamps for garden ponds, in different shapes. They are very specific accessories you are your garden and create a lovely, dreamy atmosphere.</p><br/><img alt="garden lights for the pool Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="399" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-lights-for-the-pool.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by COLECCION ALEXANDRA / Photo by: Imagostudio.es</em></p><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><br/><img alt="garden river with submerged lighting Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="900" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-river-with-submerged-lighting.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /></p><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by Grant and Energy Landscaping / Photo By Linda Oyama Bryan</em></p><br/><h3>Flower Lights</h3><br/><p>Small floor lamps are also suited amongst your flower arrangements, in the shapes of glowing rocks or extended, versatile, glowing LED-tubes.<br/>Last but not least, if you have trees in your garden, install Japanese-style pendant lamps or round pendant lamps to hang from the branches for a festive and magical garden.</p><br/><img alt="outdoor terrace garden lighting Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="397" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/outdoor-terrace-garden-lighting.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by Elad Gonen & Zeev Beech</em></p><br/><img alt="trees and flowers lighting in the garden Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="403" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/trees-and-flowers-lighting-in-the-garden.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p style="text-align: center;"><em>by Exteriors By Chad Robert</em></p><br/><img alt="garden plant arrangements with lights Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " height="386" src="http://www.decoradvisor.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/garden-plant-arrangements-with-lights.jpg" title="Garden Outside Lighting Tips For Your Tiny Paradise interior design 2 " width="600" /><br/><p><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YaJ9P4f27QQ" height="315" width="420" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Finding just the right lighting is one of the most difficult things for me as an interior designer, but when it happens it is magic. Lighting is a discipline all to itself and often is one of the most important parts of an interior. Bad lighting can ruin a good interior: good lighting can almost salvage a bad one. For example….. <a href="http://patriciagrayinc.blogspot.ca/2012/04/let-there-be-light.html" target="_blank">(more)</a></div><br /><a href="http://www.patriciagrayinc.com/docs/Patricia-Gray-WestCoast.pdf" target="_blank"><img alt="image" border="0" height="616" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6UP7Ond289cJdXO8Nto6QZv0VClK6wNaQ43_CMSOrebjwxUXxm-zO2c1vAo4AEaBFKCA-HlnO7Jbkr_ASwxljE-Eo2m2fTEjWaMUleELSwJo2UslaBq3r4Avqhk3te2e0ob8-v8w3pBhU/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Patricia Gray | Interior Design Vancouver " width="620" /></a> <br />In kitchens it is particularly important to get the lighting right as food preparation along with the eating and social aspects that go on in this room are a vital part of our lives and involve all of our senses. Kitchens need to be well lit with good overall ambient lighting and task lighting over islands and countertops. Add a little fun and pizazz with accent lighting as I did over this island. <br /> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheFJzdYvIFvkBI-oslcPNldc_qbuL3eHwRmSEsnTomyn_S2yatTUh62PdwWz3ILTPad9GigwPWdg_rRRyxicDVZ3cW0_Fjhl9RtOjs8VdD6qjmBizEaaNFKgmdOe8ieLCM2OT_ZkP9qOhN/s1600-h/image%25255B60%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="469" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVCoN3J11SmcMCAKJnIjVpWWDMhmdPd4DdCiD5ysryKC0vJ5Xwe4axwTk0M5kZXHU9gXjuqty0nIjEmpnZE5mcJ46tryIjWBkwft-Dl40psy9LOMgXl6p5xpFtNdJMkoP4Zvp8yGSrPKO9/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Patricia Gray | Interior Design Vancouver " width="620" /></a> <br />Lighting in a bathroom and bedroom needs to make you feel refreshed and energetic in the morning, ready to face the challenges of the day ahead, but at night should engender a feeling of relaxation and harmony. In a bathroom, good lighting for putting on make-up should come evenly from either side of the mirror so shadows are not cast on the face. The rest of the room needs to be lit evenly from overhead, but be careful of placing recessed pot lights that are directly over your head when standing in front of a mirror or else you will have shadows under your eyes. I put the lights for the make-up lights and the overhead lights on different switches to further enhance the options to create different moods.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzppEIKXBUcFogJ2VkSuEbGjZeuwxxJG3oNjAXnPDLF7EQdcX3iZ2O6bMucppds2N8G1L4SbizQbwG15L_fwnXfhNxTmLcAvwlhAq2hyphenhypheniiMxk9QVaFE9_fycKEBM5z6Uq6HdsxB4zPEhuN/s1600-h/image%25255B121%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="460" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQJRv6Y1qAX4ciP_Emhi-h_CdaKKDCMe5_DoIPe-pANqzhGmjcsW6gR2sRDnXiv-0i2-0et8YeZhslVFyTKV2mVdxDKeAHDku5xHZP_ljj0RHibcnr0JHDrlYHlIG2Ju9Ouqse2IF-mu6R/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Patricia Gray | Interior Design Vancouver " width="307" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWpZF-8l2LtK6plblebwRnwypUl-ixp9X365poVulp3-ehMZKP_Gd3dvfYlAQnPqoaXrQ6sf2y9DMU-KzmrOtSwEg9AcEHJAExSHvEpHvD0VPWfSrN-hNXnLVoUmo3MaDdNml5eEv3wBGy/s1600-h/image%25255B120%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="460" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDOySyYCRMYK-eeIR_ezHnWf8pqNmOS9tYO0z19ULYi3XTfO-_uqTRsBrMiMCk9QLTKjG_sl5aFx9TF6UbzmBd50qEYQQZj-iPqNUAhmDzkJTiT_II2rsmGa8xY3Csy1kKl_JPJPoruZE9/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Patricia Gray | Interior Design Vancouver " width="304" /></a> <br />Left: Wall mounted LED swing-arm lamps were used in this bedroom for task light. <br />Right: Candles can add to the mood and ambience in a room and make a dramatic statement. <br /><a href="http://www.patriciagrayinc.com/docs/Patricia-Gray-WestCoast.pdf" target="_blank"><img alt="image" border="0" height="117" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEQ7WusqEd4YZ6GUkiASJN5DrWFZTRWahTPi7BF0zXQH-IYjZ6RCSj5Tt758oWbazJlHrGSWyMALGAFohJAOlSeziVn0GYdxThaVgIppuao5DNSWr8kiSaM3_41ZjE_6XSGjtPJ4KI9ZgQ/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Patricia Gray | Interior Design Vancouver " width="110" /></a>Click on the PDF icon to read the whole article<br /><br /><div align="center"><br /><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.patriciagrayinc.com/" target="_blank">PATRICIA GRAY INC </a>is an award winning interior design firm in Vancouver. Let There Be Light

Have fun with accent lighting. Finding just the right lighting is one of the most difficult things for me as an interior designer, but when ...

I'm on the hunt....

....for some gorgeous pendant lights for my newly-zhushed kitchen. But it's <i><b>so</b></i> hard to find lighting that's beautiful <i>and</i> affordable. As the lovely <a href="http://thehousethata-mbuilt.blogspot.com/">A-M</a> lamented recently (pop on over to read her post <a href="http://thehousethata-mbuilt.blogspot.com/2010/05/it-has-come-to-this.html">here</a>), it's really difficult to track down something that's both good-looking and within the realms of possibility price-wise. This is the look I'm after...<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNRywweYgSsUd4lu6W9gJ7iwchSPPtSyAgzqtzlgQ_T8YY9ULX-QiVtKWyPv-QKPC3fbY0W4vtAKotCrVQtINVWgcNe4jXpeRoM0z53OGwcj6v8JUHEPfvf_clI0roRd0qExxc7s-K370/s1600/lighting+via+srvaia+com.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="390" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNRywweYgSsUd4lu6W9gJ7iwchSPPtSyAgzqtzlgQ_T8YY9ULX-QiVtKWyPv-QKPC3fbY0W4vtAKotCrVQtINVWgcNe4jXpeRoM0z53OGwcj6v8JUHEPfvf_clI0roRd0qExxc7s-K370/s400/lighting+via+srvaia+com.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://srvaia.com/"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjWYXSKDKLC7dhS3_gJvju9jNzqPkZnuZwte_qCyIKRjvdPUhdHikIy9OKnkw62jZfGyt4xumVoPgT9KKq5GX4fPa4nXVDWRrYZ-Rvr2BJ4FAmGCB2DE0tpzO3IdK9pTMpQkR0suxCcN4/s1600/lighting+via+blogdotbarnlightelectricdotcom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjWYXSKDKLC7dhS3_gJvju9jNzqPkZnuZwte_qCyIKRjvdPUhdHikIy9OKnkw62jZfGyt4xumVoPgT9KKq5GX4fPa4nXVDWRrYZ-Rvr2BJ4FAmGCB2DE0tpzO3IdK9pTMpQkR0suxCcN4/s400/lighting+via+blogdotbarnlightelectricdotcom.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.barnlightelectric.com/"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a> </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFno8tMCmuTi3utoN6S-utzDiRCFt5Lc4UWfchThdsaQv57xjTHQPdxiUxEpp8W1rQxlmtu9RGn3Ke0HVpTinrDpfs7cUpg3eRey0Ib8G7o7dEy1bH7q2MCVlhz6rEE6UYuH8DVc4amGY/s1600/lighting+via+kitchenisms+com.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFno8tMCmuTi3utoN6S-utzDiRCFt5Lc4UWfchThdsaQv57xjTHQPdxiUxEpp8W1rQxlmtu9RGn3Ke0HVpTinrDpfs7cUpg3eRey0Ib8G7o7dEy1bH7q2MCVlhz6rEE6UYuH8DVc4amGY/s400/lighting+via+kitchenisms+com.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kitchenisms.com/"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source </span></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEASgSitmeBlJ1rMhow4qdlVTjxkmcCC0i2ywyy9LIsEcoF6_bLFC9LY8OaM6rcqVlntJVa5-UVdMUjdhl6K04isYq3SiZQmDrgG6kkjntP8RL6l6XJnIn51gj0LTDQm0tNKpNWtJy8xU/s1600/urbangrace+kitchen+1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="245" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEASgSitmeBlJ1rMhow4qdlVTjxkmcCC0i2ywyy9LIsEcoF6_bLFC9LY8OaM6rcqVlntJVa5-UVdMUjdhl6K04isYq3SiZQmDrgG6kkjntP8RL6l6XJnIn51gj0LTDQm0tNKpNWtJy8xU/s400/urbangrace+kitchen+1.png" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://urbangrace.com/"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">...but it's nearly impossible to find. Regardless, I need to find something I like asap. Why? Because my <a href="http://driftwood-interiors.blogspot.com/2010/05/shh-i-have-secret.html">hideous pine ceilings</a> are about to be painted! I'm ridiculously excited - I've wanted to do this for years. I ran into a builder friend on the weekend, who actually enjoys painting (!) and he offered to come and help me with the ceilings - how good is that! So if I'm a bit scarce on the blog front, don't worry - I'm not sure I'm good enough to swing from a ladder, paintbrush in one hand and laptop in the other! But you can be sure I'll be posting all the goodies as soon as I possibly can.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"></div><div style="text-align: left;">Oh, and I also have some <b>very</b> exciting news to share with you all...so stick around, I'll spill the beans in the next few days!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Have a good one,</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/85794/shatay01/57292ae3db79c6d939a1f2a85508a076.png" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; border: 0pt none ! important;" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: left;"></div>
